Teen Taal Tipalli
Teen Taal Tipalli will be discussed on this page. Tipalli shows a three layered model of Laya. In this tipalli we will start with ek gun laya and use one bol per beat. Then we will use dugun laya and use two bols per beat. In last we use Chaugun laya and use 4 bols per beat. We are using it in teen taal which is of 16 beats. This taal has 4 divisions in total with 3 taalis and 1 khali. Beats or matra count in these vibhags or division is 4/4/4/4. 1st,5th and 13th beat/matra is reserved for taali and 9th beat/matra is reserved for khali. It refers to the North Indian Music taal group.
