Kehrwa Taal Theka
Kehrwa Taal Theka is an 8-beat rhythmic cycle. It belongs to North Indian Classical Music. This taal consists of 2 divisions of 4/4 beats. The Taali is at the 1st beat and the Khali is at the 5th beat of the taal cycle. This is a popular taal cycle and is used dominantly in Indian Classical Music, Bollywood Movie Songs, Ghazal, Bhajan, Gurbani Sangeet, Folk, etc. Uthaan, Rela, Laggi, Ladi, Tihai, etc composition types can be performed in this taal cycle. This taal has the most number of taal thekas, that's its special feature.
