Deep Chandi Taal Theka
Deep Chandi Taal Theka is a 14-beat cycle that refers to Mishra Jati taal group. It is a north Indian taal. Taali is on the 1st, 4th & 11th beat and the Khali is on the 8th beat. Deep Chandi taal has four divisions of 3/4/3/4 beats each. It is used in light music, gurbani sangeet, ghazal, thumri, folk music, songs, etc. We will learn Theka for Dssepchandi Taal in this lesson. This cycle is also known as Chachar or Chanchal.
